Introduction

I collaborated with the product manager to revamp the Home, Events, and Hangouts sections of the CLIQup Social website. I conducted a comparative analysis with competitors for each section, developed a strategy to align the website with the mobile app, and ensured a cohesive cross-platform user experience. Through user testing, I gathered feedback to iteratively refine the design. This project strengthened my skills in user-centered design and applying research to create intuitive, engaging interfaces.

Observation

While comparing, I noticed Meetup lacked excitement, while Eventbrite's boldness inspired me. To set CLIQup apart, I integrated unique visuals with brand colors for distinctiveness.

Design and UX Integration

Emphasizing a smooth UX, curated information to avoid overwhelming users.
The home page introduced two buttons, offering users a peek into what the app provides—allowing them to explore hangouts and events and switch locations for broader visibility.
Showcased genuine user reviews with pictures on the home page to instil trust. Repeated calls to action ensured users remembered to explore further within the app.

Innovation in UX

Breaking from safe designs, we experimented with carousels, offering a fresh perspective in CLIQup's UX for standout market positioning.
